Dr Munro studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 1992.  Upon completion of his Degree, Dr Munro worked within various hospital departments across Fife, Perth and Dundee before completing his GP training at a practice within Perth.  Dr Munro is the diabetic lead for the practice and also undertakes a hospital clinic for people with Diabetes and is Lead Clinician for the Diabetes MCN in Tayside. Dr Munro does regular shifts in the GP OOH service in Tayside and is a GP appraiser and appraisal tutor. 

Dr Munro is available, within the practice, every Thursday and Friday.

MB ChB (University of Dundee) 2003   MRCGP 2007

Dr Findlay studied medicine at the University of Dundee and graduated in 2003.  Upon completion of her Degree, Dr Findlay worked within various departments across Tayside before completing her GP training at a practice in Blairgowrie.

Dr Findlay has interests in mental health and child health.

Dr Findlay is available within the practice on a Monday morning, all day both Tuesday and Friday.

Locum Doctors

A number of fully qualified and experienced GPs work for the practice in order to provide cover for our partners when they are on leave. They have full access to your medical notes, and are able to offer the full range of medical services.

Junior Doctors

As a training practice we often have ‘Junior Doctors’ working in the practice for periods of 4-12 months. They are qualified doctors who are able to investigate and treat patients; however, they remain under the supervision of the trained GPs within the practice. Do not be concerned if, during your consultation, they wish to discuss your case with a supervising GP.

Medical Students

As we are a teaching practice medical and nursing students are frequently attached to the practice. Students will sit in to observe practice staff, and medical students will also have some limited appointments themselves. During these appointments a GP will be supervising, and will always see you themselves as well. We hope you will understand that their time in general practice is an important part of their training, however, if you would prefer to be seen without the student present, please advise the doctor or nurse when they call for you (or at any time during the consultation).

Lesley Robertson, Sonya Baillie, Johanna (Jo) Scollay & Jenni MacConnachie

BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences (Napier University) 1997. Diploma of Higher Education in Adult Nursing with distinction (Napier University), 2001. Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing Practice (Dundee University), 2021.

Jo joined Grove Health Centre in September 2016.

Jo completed her nurse training in 2001 and, after working in a variety of areas, moved to general practice in 2008 as a Practice Nurse. She brings a wealth of nursing expertise with her to Grove Health Centre.

Jo is a nurse prescriber and recently gained a PGdip in Advanced Nursing Practice. She has training in the diagnosis, management and treatment of a wide variety of medical conditions and has a keen interest in chronic disease management especially asthma. Jo has diplomas in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Asthma. She also has certificates in Cervical Screening and Travel Health.

University of Dundee (2005) Adult Nursing

Sonya completed her nurse training in 2005 from the University of Dundee.  Following her nurse training, she worked as a treatment room nurse at a GP practice in Dundee from 2006 to 2016.  During this time, Sonya completed diplomas in both COPD and asthma before moving to another practice within Dundee to join them as a respiratory nurse.

Sonya joined Grove Health Centre in 2022 and is responsible for a range of treatment room duties alongside the diagnosis, management and treatment of patients with asthma and COPD.  Sonya also has a certificate in cervical screening.

Sonya is available in the practice every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The healthcare assistants are specifically trained to carry out some routine procedures such as: blood specimens; blood pressures, ECG’s and urine testing. They are not, however, trained nurses and are not able to carry out more complex nursing duties.

HCSW (University of Abertay) 2005, Auditing (City & Guilds)

Lesley joined Grove Health Centre in 2004 having previously worked within the Blood Transfusion Service.

Lesley's main duties within the practice include taking bloods, blood pressure readings, sample testing, ECGs and participating in our chronic disease management clinics.  Lesley also assists Dr Patil with our Minor Surgery clinics and can also administer certain injections such as B12 injections and Influenza vaccinations having completed formal training with the University of Abertay, Dundee.

Lesley works within the practice every morning Monday to Friday (excluding Wednesday).

Maxine is responsible for the co-ordination and management of non-clinical aspects of the practice including strategic direction.

Areas included are human resource management, training, teambuilding, systems organisation, finance, health and safety, information management, computing and audit, and dealing with complaints and feedback. Maxine initially joined the NHS in 1993 working in a number of hospital settings before joining the team at Grove in September 2001.

Wendy is our Assistant Practice Manager and works alongside the Practice Manager. 

Wendy deputises in the absence of the Practice Manager and is responsible for the day to day operation of the practice as well as GMS Contract responsibilities. She is responsible for the area of chronic disease management call and recall systems, data and spreadsheet management including updating patient electronic records, the day to day management of the computer system including training of staff and ensuring patient records are maintained.

Our administration staff are the first point of contact you will have with the practice and they aim to provide a helpful and efficient service.  We are fortunate in having a conscientious and experienced team of administration staff who, as well as helping you to make necessary appointments, will endeavour to assist you in any other way by answering any queries you may have.  Our administration team are also fully trained in a wide range of clerical and secretarial duties.

Our secretarial team is responsible for ensuring all GP referrals are completed in a timely manner.  They can assist you with any questions you have regarding any referrals that may have been sent.  Our secretarial team are also responsible for assisting with private claim work (such as work requested from solicitors or insurance companies) and other financial work.

We have a pharmacist attached to the practice who works closely with the doctors to advise on prescribing matters. She may invite you to attend an appointment with her to discuss your medication.

The district nursing team have a wide variety of nursing experience, enabling them to provide a high standard of care for housebound patients. They provide support to patients, their families and carers. They can be contacted on: (01382) 740187 (Day time answering machine) or (01382) 740208 (evenings).

Our health visiting team will give advice on a wide range of issues such as ante-natal and post-natal care, child development, family nutrition, health promotion, smoking cessation etc. They may see you in the Grove/Broughty Ferry Health Centre or visit you at home.
